  • Rules for admins
Every LMS competition needs an admin. This person is responsible for, getting players, setting up, communication and managing the LMS competition. As an admin you can set your own rules but here’s an example: Each player picks a team every gameweek. (You can use any sporting league, such as the English Premier League etc. Make sure you nominate which league and notify your players when each gameweek starts and ends) The team must win in order for a player to go through to the next round. If the team loses or draws you’re out! The last person left in wins. (You can vary this rule, for example your teams must not lose to go through. It’s up to the game administrator. We recommend you communicate all your rules to all your players before you start) You are not allowed to pick the same team twice, unless during a Last Man Standing Season* all the teams in the league have been selected. Then the game starts again with all teams available for selection. If a player doesn’t make their selection in time for the nominated cut off time they will automatically be out! If for unforeseen circumstances there are multiple cancellations of fixtures the gameweek will be canceled, unless there are at least a minimum of 4 possible selections per player left in the game. If a game is canceled after the cut off for selection that player will automatically get a bye to the next round. If a game is abandoned during play for any reason. The players that selected any of the teams playing will get a bye for that gameweek. If there is no clear winner e.g. the last two people select a losing team, there will be a rollover. In this scenario all players will come back in and a new season will begin. This is an example of the basic rules for Last Man Standing. It’s the administrators responsibility to make and communicate their own rules to their players. LMS Glossary: *LMS Season = When a game starts to when it ends, either by a winner or if a rollover happens. LMS Gameweek = A set of fixtures that happen over the course of 2 to 4 days when the LMS players must pick a team that they think will win. This is typically over the weekend but there could also be a mid-week gameweek if sporting fixtures are happening. LMS Admin = The person that is responsible for setting up and running the LMS game for their group. LMS Player = Somebody that is participating in the LMS game.
